Fuel system problems..... please help!!
Hello again fellas,
I have a question about the Holley Blue pump install. First off it is on a 2000 Dodge 1ton 4x4 dually 5spd. It has a edge comp, 275rvs and thats it. I sent him a holley blue pump to install and he is having some issues now....
He did not want to get too deep into his truck so he just cut the line and put the Blue pump inline the stock fuel lines. He says it runs fine for a while and then starts to smoke white real bad and then dies, then wont restart untill you disconnect the Blue pump. He still has the stock lift pump installed also. He says he thinks it is getting too much fuel??? I think it is collapsing the lines in high fuel demand.
When I get home in a week I will pull the tank and replace all the lines and pickup tube with larger ones, but for right now all I know is what he describes. Has anyone had an issue like this? It does not have a bypass on it either, if that helps just cut the lines and put the pump in between.
Thanks for all of your replies, Bodie

i run the same setup and no problems.. 27 psi at idle and 23 at wot.. been like that over a year now!! somthing else must be wrong.. might be a bad pump from holly. or maybe the stock lift pump dont like it. but i can put atleast 5 psi thru the stock pump with my holly while being easy on the skinnyy pedal!
