Fuel pressure question.

I was wondering if you all could help me, I have a new lift pump(1month old) but as soon as I replaced it I noticed that at WOT my pressure light comes on and somtimes flickers at hard excellaration. Would a big line kit help and maybe exsplain one to me, can I do it myself, Also my old pump still puts out 5psi or so can I add it inline somewhere...

Stock pumps can only hold so much psi at WOT.

Larger lines will DECREASE your pressure in almost all cases. A larger inlet line to the pump could help and reducing the in tank restriction will help even more.

I know a guy that did a Draw Straw and 1/2" lines to the inlet of the factory pump in the factory location that went from 4psi WOT to 10 psi WOT. This is with no mods.

You could go mount a second pump, I prefer to keep it simple and with one pump only. There's lots of "fixes" out there. Airtex pumps, relocation kits, systems with or without filters, and the list goes on.

Do lots of research and go from there.

vulcan big line+ relocation kit kept my bottom PSI at 7-8psi instead of 3-4psi without it (juice 5x5+ 110hp injectors) 420hp

not bad for $120, but there are better options
