Exclamation Fuel pressure problems/ need help Asap

my friend has a 2000 24 valve that has the juice with attitude. It has been showing that his fuel pressure is low. It will start our running around 15-18 and then will drop sometimes to 0 and give a warning. we have replaced his lift pump several times and runs decent at first but then goes bad. also it has trouble starting now. any advice is appreciated

Smile Obvious answer....

I guess I've just been lucky, I JUST had to replace my LP. But I'm thinking the obvious answer to this question is a RELILABLE replacement LP. I just installed the FASS HPFP 95. ALL in ALL was an easy install EXCEPT getting the stock fuel line separated from the fuel tank.....
I'd say it was pricey, but if he's already replaced a few LP's he could have had a FASS with a life time warranty.

Geno's had the pump to me in 3 days (over thanksgiving holiday).

Did you check voltage going to the lift pump?

What kind of lift pump is it? Is it the old Carter or the new style?

Sounds like the filter in fuel tank could be plugged up. Did you drop the fuel tank and check the filter screen?
