fuel pressure numbers
Well, I finally got my fuel pressure gauge installed. Turfed the isolator (what a nightmare, trying to make THAT work) and am running fuel right to the gauge with a shut off valve right at the vp44. After bleeding the system (and pouring about a cup of winter diesel right into the drivers seat, not to worry the fabric and foam sucked it right up) I have some numbers and am not sure if I should be concerned. At idle I get 14 psi, cruising on the highway I get 10 and WOT I'm about 5.5-6. Is this normal? Also, my egts are only about 850-900 pre turbo at WOT, not towing anything and the rear end sliding around on the highway (it was only -22 here last night and black ice) FUN!!!.
Thanks.
Thanks.

ya that is pretty close to how all the stock ones i have seen are....make sure it doesnt go below 5, thats the "unsafe" number from what i have heard....be thinking about a differnt fuel system, because that stock one probably wont last long..

sounds about right. once the weather warms up, your pressure will probably be slightly higher. I think the coldest its been here is 25*F and even with my FASS system, I've seen my fuel pressure drop from 21psi at idle in the summer time, to 14-15psi at idle. And thats with PowerService's anti-gell additive. Once warmed up, it comes up to about 16-17 at all times.
