Fuel Pressure Guage

Someone please tell me where to hook up my fuel pressure guage on my 2001.5. I have the Hewlett mechanical guage with the snubber module in line, it is tapped for the 1/8 greese gun hose. I have a 12 in. greese gun hose that I got from Agri-Supply for $3.99.
Thanks

Bill

Re:Fuel Pressure Guage

You will need a banjo bolt tapped for 1/8 pipe. several are available check Geno's also belive Wildcat diesel has them
Both are excelent companys. Putting my gauge on vp-44 schrader with hose available from Geno's

Wa4slc
I used the tapped banjo bolt from wildcat and installed on bottom of filter housing(post filter). I also put high flow banjos all around, and used the tapped ones at the test points , so I can double check with my test gauge and the dealer still has his port to hook up to.
HTH

Re:Fuel Pressure Guage

I also used the tapped banjo on the bottom of the fuel filter cannister. Two reasons I did that. One was to get a little more distance from the vp 44 and its incessant pulsations that seem to tear up senders. Second to leave the schrader valve open for testing purposes. (I did drill it out to match the oversized banjos I put on the rest of them). When I had my lift pump replaced I had my gauge temporarily setup on the prefilter schrader and the pump went out. When dealer went to replace (under warranty) he called and told me they were going to charge me 90.00 to r&r my fp sensor so they could get to the lift pump. I went up and swapped in the original schrader in 15 minutes in their parking lot.

Leave the existing schrader valve intact, just in case you need to take it to the dealer.
They like their test point left undisturbed.

Also good for attaching a temporary guage to test the calibration of your permenant guage.

Oh, Wildcat or Geno's, good source for the tapped banjo's.

phox
