Fuel Pressure Guage

I'm looking to buy a FP guage for my truck. I have seen in threads about mechanical guages being the best, why? What brand of mechanical guage is the best? Is there a kit for my truck, or is there custom tubing required? Thanks Matt

Isspro guages match the interior pretty good, and dipricol optix do too.Mechanical guages are cheaper and hassle free if installed right. The kit comes with tubing ,fittings and an isolator, but most guys dont run the isolator, they will use a needle valve and crack it slightly to dampen pulses from the vp44.I got my isspros from piers

Mechanical guage for price and reliability. A lot of people run a needle valve instead of an isolator again for reliability.

Here's a place that got just about everything for guages:

What they said. Many, many people running their setup with fuel straight to the gauge, no problem.

I spoke to an engineer at Isspro before ordering my guages. He told me that he'd personally run a mechanical guage in his own truck.

Think of it this way, cars ran mechanical oil pressure guages for over 50 years and all was well with the world. A line with fluid coming into the interior isn't anything to be scared off.

I do run a needle valve in mine, so if I ever wanted/ needed to shut it off I can. There is a picture in my gallery of it.

I run an autometer gauge and it matches pretty good. I run a line from the test port up by the VP and do not run a needle valve. Pict in my gallery.
