I am getting ready to install my gauges also. So you guys are saying that I don't need to install the isolator? Just install the on/off needle valve, then run the tubing to the gauge?

Not tryin to steal this thread, but I had a quick question. Is general thread sealer tape from NAPA ok to use to seal up the fittings for my FP gauge and fuel line, or is there somethin special I need?

Teflon tape on fuel fittings in a HUGE No-No.
Little pieces of it can tear loose and get into areas of the Injection system that will not welcome such intrusions.
Pipe Dope or the fuel system sealer from Permatex is a much better option.

I have a simple question. You guys that have a on/off needle valve in your fuel pressure gauge line. Where did you get your 1/8 brass needle valves? I've been to all of the auto parts stores, Lowes, building supplies and a plumbing store. Something so simple and you cannot find it. Mind you when you tell them what you are looking for you get a puzzling look or a go away I'm lazy and don't want to help you look.
Guess I'll try again at Lowes when I get more time. Any suggestions before I just go ahead and use the isolator.

It seems that some autoparts stores have some stuff and others don't. These around here including Napa did not have a one needle valve. I'll git r dun. Probably later than sooner.

1/8" needle valves are commonly used on icemakers and swamp coolers.
Any store that has a decent plumbing selection will have them.
I've seen them at Ace Hardware stores.
