Question Fuel Pressure Gauges

I've been wanting gauges for a while now but can't afford the $$$ so I'm going to try to by them one at a time. I want to start with a Fuel Pressure gauge because I think my Injection pump is going out. so my question is: who makes a fairly inexpennsive reliable guage. I like the looks of the Isspro gauges but I couldn't find a FP guage on their website. Also does anybody know of a good shop to purchase them at in the Idaho Falls/Pocatello area.

Thanks
Dave

I just bought autometer gauges last week from summit. I had $280 into them, which included; boost gauge, fuel pressure gauge, isolator, 4' of braided fuel line, and an A pillar triple gauge pod. Already had the pyro.

If you want cheap try this http://www.surpluscenter.com/sort.as...s&keyword=NFGA
Most are Autometer gauges for under $15

I didn't go though all the pages to see if they had any fuel pressure gauges right now but a $9.95 water pressure gauge like this one would work just fine as long as you don't mind it saying water on it. http://www.surpluscenter.com/item.as...atname=engines

Check back at this website, their stock changes all the time.

I like the looks of the DiPricol gauges. Sorry I don't know much about the installation. So, I need the gauge, the high pressure tubing kit, and the fuel pressure isolator? Is there anything else that I need to buy?

Thanks for all the patience.

Do yourself the favor and get a needle valve and forget the isolator... The isolator will give false reading and might leak.

Do a search on isolator here and you will find hours of good reading again.

Just jump into my gallery and check out the pics of assembly. Even thing is shown.

Dave, you don't need a "high pressure tubing kit" nor do you "need" an isolator. I got all but one of my original (before FASSII) fuel pressure gauge fittings from NAPA...along with the 1/4" ID hydraulic hose. Check my gallery for pics.

Mopar,

So if I get the high pressure tube kit all I need is the needle valve to connect it to the injection pump right? Then run the tube + power for the gauge into the cab, hook it up and I should be up an running, correct? (sorry if I sound stupid, I just don't want to get it wrong)
Thanks again
Dave

Yes Sir... Fairly simple and straight foreward. Just make sure the nylon tubing isn't going to rub anything to create a leak. Also be sure to tighten a joint and use a sealant on the threads. I forgot to tighten the one in the cab... Opps... But the needle valve allowed me to drive home and fix the leak... No problem now... 20K on the system and no problems with the gauge or the tubing.

I just purchased a fuel guage kit from Scheid Diesel for $158 including shipping.
This had the Isspro fuel guage, isolator and all the hardware to install it except for the needle valve.
