Fuel Pressure Gauge-Mechanical vs. Electrical

Fuel Pressure Gauge-Mechanical vs. Electrical
I will be purchasing a fp gauge within the next few weeks to keep an eye on the dreaded lift pump. I have heard that many are having problems with sending units on the electrical gauges, so I am leaning toward a mechanical Isspro gauge with aeroquip lines & fittings. Just curious what others are running and what your experience has been with your setups. Thanks.

Get a Mechanical gauge! Period! Thats my opinion after I went through 2 brand new sending units and had a brand new electronic fuel pressure gauge on my truck for 2 months that never worked. Ever. I am getting a mechanical gauge now.

I've have had my Isspro mechanical dash mounted for about a year, with a stainless setup from Wildcat Diesel Performance.<br>No drips, no runs, no errors, and best of all, no failure of the sending unit.

Re:Fuel Pressure Gauge-Mechanical vs. Electrical
Maybe I'm just lucky, but I haven't had a problem with my sender. The Nordskog gauge and sender have been in for almost a year with -0- problems.

I am using a digital gauge and sender from Dakota Digital. I had a few problems with it at first from my installation. Never had a problem with the sender.
