Fuel Pressure Gauge-Mechanical vs. Electrical

I will be purchasing a fp gauge within the next few weeks to keep an eye on the dreaded lift pump. I have heard that many are having problems with sending units on the electrical gauges, so I am leaning toward a mechanical Isspro gauge with aeroquip lines & fittings. Just curious what others are running and what your experience has been with your setups. Thanks.

Get a Mechanical gauge! Period! Thats my opinion after I went through 2 brand new sending units and had a brand new electronic fuel pressure gauge on my truck for 2 months that never worked. Ever. I am getting a mechanical gauge now.

I've have had my Isspro mechanical dash mounted for about a year, with a stainless setup from Wildcat Diesel Performance.
No drips, no runs, no errors, and best of all, no failure of the sending unit.
Solid 16 psi (after lift pump change) at idle.
Hooked up like shown below as a "JICSH"* shut-off.

* "Just In Case Stuff Happens"

Maybe I'm just lucky, but I haven't had a problem with my sender. The Nordskog gauge and sender have been in for almost a year with -0- problems.

I am using a digital gauge and sender from Dakota Digital. I had a few problems with it at first from my installation. Never had a problem with the sender.
