Re:Fuel Pressure Gauge.

The lack of an isolator is a concern with the ISSPRO. However the stainless braided line that Wildcat sells with their gauges is industrial strength. Install a needle valve to reduce the pulse and also provide for a shut off in case something goes wrong.

The thing I really like about the ISSPRO is they have a 270 degree sweep on their gauges. Their fuel gauge has 0 to 30 psi (which is very close to the range we see on our lift pumps) and over a 270 degree sweep makes it much easier / quicker to read.

Good luck on your choice.

Re:Fuel Pressure Gauge.

There's always Dipricol gauges as well I've got a 0 to 30psi in my truck. They make them in black or white face for about $70 I think.

Re:Fuel Pressure Gauge.

Don't worry about leaks if you use good fittings. I run braided into the cab where it connects to the 1/8NPT on the back of the gauge.

I used to have an isolator-- it was causing all kinds of bad readings (gauge would peg to 28psi and not move, or it would read negative). So i took out the isolator.

Lo and behold, the isolator had disintegrated and I was getting fuel to the gauge anyway.

Funny how once I took out the isolator, my gauge stopped acting up, and now reads fine all the time.

I should have just hooked it right up anyway. Then my VP44 would not have had to digest the antifreeze mix :'(

Thanks You.

Good gauges too, the fuel pressure gauge has worked great for the year and a half I've had it. The boost and pyro have been there for 4 + years of excellent service and still going strong. 8)

Re:Fuel Pressure Gauge.

I run Wildcat's fuel pressure guage kit in my truck. Never had a problem yet, probably never will! Install a cut off under the hood (just in case) and don't worry about.

Besides, I would much sooner clean a small diesel spill out of my interior than try and get the glycol mix out that the isolator systems use.

Run a mechanical guage and forget about it. More accurate and reliable.

Re:Fuel Pressure Gauge.

I installed the wildcat setup in my truck. I was calmed by Rod who said, they only had one leak and it was from an improper installation in "his partners truck". I would not worry about a leak if you are careful during the install.

Be patiant!

I've got about 4 or 5 (can't remember) coats of paint on mine. I used some stuff I got at Napa for the 2 base coats and then used the Mopar paint for the top 2. To get my EGT gauge in the middle I had to do some trimming on the pillar mount and I also left the stock pillar behind the mount to give it more support. 8)

It wasn't that bad of a job though kind of fun.

Re:Fuel Pressure Gauge.

Rods setup is great. Isspro Marine (black face, white letters) also a good match to the my Autometer sport comp gauges. Rod provides a needle valve shutoff in case anything were to happen but it is not likely to do so with a good gauge and SS braided line thats in his kit. Don't worry bout fuel in cab. Antifreeze in cab wouldn't be such a good thing either. Isolators seem to cause problems.
