From what I can remember, the BANK$ plate was a #6. Copied from TST who made the first plates for the P Pump...

What kind of power is he looking for? You could go as aggressive as a zero plate, basically a flat bar or something more restrained.

He wants something more powerful but can still tow. He has the banks big head wastegate and aem intake and 5" exhaust. He also upgraded the auto trans.

Have you played with the position of the plate at all? With a stock turbo its gonna be tough to go too extreme without EGT issues.

A #10 would probably be good.

I'd say cut a 0 plate and be done with it. AFC will control bottom end fueling, and if it gets too hot on the top end, he'll have to pull out of the throttle, same as any other plate choice.

you can tow with any plate long as you dont care about heat.. does he have gauges? if not. get em. he shouldnt be reaching 1400+ for long durations as it will hurt something. haveing the stock turbo doesnt help either

The motor needs to breath, a better flow exhaust manifold would help. And you can always stick some bigger injectors in it and leave the plate alone.

The auto is the 180 pump. So sliding the stock plate forward should not be an extreme amount of fuel. You will have to block the wastegate or add a boost elbow to get the boost over the stock 17-19 psi, with 35 being the upper limit. I slid my stock plate fully forward and it did pretty well without reaching extreme EGT's. You also have to slide the AFC housing for full effect or it will block you from reaching the plate.

With the auto, you run the risk of loosing the TC without modifications in the 50-100 hp range.
