Fuel Mileage

Fuel Mileage
I am wanting to boost my horse power a little on my 95 4x4 auto with out hurting fuel economy, is this possible. Also I know I need to put in gauges first, but what is the best way to get more power. It's kinda crazy, I'm 61 yrs old and still like the power. Got hooked on mopar when I came back from Vietnam, bought a 1970 plymouth duster, with 340 wedge. Any ideas would be appreciated. Also what gauges do you absolutely have to have, remember I'm on a budget.

12 valves only require that you monitor Exhaust Temp (probe in the exhaust manifold) and Boost press. The stock lift pumps are reliable enough not to require a guage unless your making over 400hp. I would look at fuel plates and decide how much power you want to make. There is a great chart here: http://www.puredieselpower.com/catal...ate-p-451.html Obviously, the more power you make, the more upgrades you will need...like the tranny. Since you have an auto tranny I would monitor temps on that as well.
