Fuel isolator

Is there a way to check the fuel isolator. My gauge is doing some funny things. My gas gauge is obviously not working as I ran my truck out of fuel on Sat. I had to crack the injector lines to get it restarted. Is it possible for air to get into the fuel pressure isolator and cause this erratic behavior.
Thanks

It's for a pressure gauge right, their junk don't use one just run it strait to the gauge and use a lil teflon tape, how did that make your truck run out?

It didnt make my truck run out. My gas gauge is not working and i ran out of fuel. But since i ran out, the fuel pressure guage is acting funny. Was wondering if air could have gotten up there and cause it. My first post was a little hard to understand...sorry

It is probably a probem with air. Most of the isolators have a bleed screw on them somewhere. Just open the bleed screw and get all the air out of the isolator and the hose to the isolator.
