Front Bumpers

Hey guys,

I'm looking for a new front bumper that has a built in winch mount and lights and have seen some real nice ones here.

Does anyone have any suggestions or a manufactures web site that I can go to? I've been looking but can't really find a lot.

Thanks

For aluminum, the choices are Ute and DOR. The DOR maybe a little beefier, but it doen't drop down much in the front. Both are 3/8" and 1/2" 6061 T6 aluminum. Indestructible and corrosion proof. Not to mention light-- between 138 and 160 pounds.

Steel, there's basically two kinds. There's the "manufactured" look and the "Fabbed" look. Fabbed is like Ranchhand, Southwest Fabricators, etc. Manufactured is Reunel, Trailready, Warn, etc. The Manufactured bumpers look better to me, but they're more expensive.

The Reunel is probably the strongest money can buy, but they are super expensive and super heavy. Some weight over 350lbs WITHOUT a winch! Hope you have FAW to spare! It's easy to spend $4K on a Reunel.

It's hard to argue for a Reunel when you can get a Ute with powdercoat and everything for $1700. The DOR is $1500, pretty much a STEAL for an aluminum bumper that's strong as an ox.

Road Armor is another one. They are close to you in the Bay Area. http://www.roadarmor.com

Road armor is under suit from Trailready, so be careful. Roadarmor may not exist much longer. Go to the trailready website to read the nasty details.

I can't be certain, but I believe that information on Road Armor is obsolete. I believe they've gotten their act together under the new ownership. Here's another shot of the DOR bumper.

Glad to hear the Roadarmor dispute is settled.

Can anyone furnish pics of the Tough Country/Ranchhand/Southwest Fabricators style bumpers??? I am sure there are more than a couple out there.
