Friends '99 Lost power.
High all.A friend of mine has a '99.It's bone stock,& a few days ago he passed someone,& lost power for a few minutes. Then it came back,& so far seems to be runing normal.New fuel,& air filters just done.Still on the stock lift pump.Could that be it?Any info would be appreciated.Thanks.

The two places I would start are get it scaned for codes to see if it has any set and have a FP gauge put on the LP and check its condition. The dead peddle syndrome is ussually not a good thing.

Sounds like the APPS (accelerator position sensor) MIne would do the same thing. He should have engine light on when it happened.

Hopefully its not the IP going out. Might be the APPS. If you need one give Eric at www.hoeslidiesel.com a call. He'll hook ya up.
RAF, I've got pretty much an identical truck to yours, except for mine is a 2500. How do you like the boost fooler and elbow? Does it help much?
