don't remove your plate, just grind it flat even w/ the deepest point on the plate. you can put a taper on the base if you want to control the fueling curve. I just tightened my AFC a little.

Hey now... I took a regulator off a welder and a grill propane tank and ran bottle pressure to the intake of my old 1999 F350 PS on a hobbs switch set at 15psi. It ran like a raped ape. Had it like that for a year before I sold it and bought the cummins. I'm sure I was just lucky though. But **** if that truck didn't move.

why did he only mention 94-97 models? Im 100 percent sure I own a 98 12V that I did this too back in 98 BEFORE i went to a TST plate......
I DID HAVE A 7.3 IDI-IT WAS MY FIRST DIESEL THEN I HAD A 97 POWERJOKE...THEN I GOT SERIOUS AND GOT A CUMMINS.

I'm thinking maybe.........................uuummmmmm, ya mapp gas plumb'd from inside the cab I'll use one of those torch handles-only with out igniter so as to be like nos.
ya then I'll get an old washer pump from a 68' bronco and hook it up to the inter-cooler and pump straight rubbing alcohol from the walgreens drug store in to the turbo...................GOD IMAGINE THE POWER, YA BABY !
