free power upgrades on 94-97 cummins
yeah free!! just pull out your stock fuel plate and throw it away then unplug your wastegate on the turbo and viola. free power. i would strongly suggest guages with this option because i am sure that if you stay in it for too long that you will cause irreversible damage to your cummins. they are pretty tough motors, but they can only take so much. everyone buys new fuel plates and stuff, but you can also adjust the stock one in the trucks to turn up the fuel a little bit and stay pretty safe on egt's. i have done this on otherwise totally stock trucks and they run MUCH better just by adjusting the stock plate and leaving the wastegate alone.if you need info on getting to the fuel plate just ask me and i'll give a more detailed explanation

Isnt there some kind of pin that will break off after a while of running like this? I wouldnt do it. Just grind the stock plate flat is your best bet. Youll gain a lot of power, but sacrafice no durability. Youll have higher EGT's but thats expected. Also, i personally like the aftermarket plates better. I just think they run better with lower EGT's. Whatever you want to do though.

Bad idea running without a plate. There was a fellow on TDR who argued with the pros about this for days, the thread ended up with at least 20 pages. This fellow turned real quiet when his pump bit it.
To me running a #0 or #100 plate seems like running a truck with a radiator that's too small, you have to watch the gauge all the time. Not my idea of fun, I'd rather look out the window. It all depends on what you do with your truck.

Most inexperienced guys just think adding more fuel is the answer to HP, well it is- to a point. First you MUST create more breathing and exhausting ability for your engine to actually utilize positive results from adding more fuel. If you just add fuel the EGT will severely limit the usefulness of your actions. I added a full 4" exhaust system and a K&N air filter first, then had Schied diesel "tweak" the engine. WOW! what a difference! And, I can actually tow my 12K lb fifth wheel RV easier, while enjoying better fuel mileage.
