Free inj pump?

I was talking to a guy today and he was talking about inj pump failures. He was saying if you still have warranty you can pinch a line and starve the pump and burn it out and they will replace it. I have never heard of this being done and probably isn't good for the truck but has anyone ever heard of this being done?

there are plenty of ways to hose the dealers but getting it figured out is your own responsibility. and fwiw if you pinc a diesel line it just dies

This might be one of the stupidest things I have heard. I suppose you will be one of the people complaining when you have a legitimate warranty concern and the dealer gives you a hard time about it.

They have a word for that kind of stuff... STEALING!

Also, if the truck is still running well, you might be trading a 500K pump for a 5K pump.

If you read the post I never said any thing about doing it to my truck I don't want to screw it up. Just a simple question to see if there was any truth to what this guy was saying, and I also never said anything about my pump wire being tapped, read sig.
