is a FP gauge isolator needed???
I have purchased a DiPricol Fuel Pressure gauge that came with the isolator. I did a search (of course, after the fact that I just bought the gauge) and found many guys do NOT run an isolator. Is this true? I understand the issue that diesel will be running in the cab with out the isolator but with quality hardware, it doesnt bother me. any help would be appreciated, Pat

I have the isspro, but ran straight into the cab. Not a prob for me with diesel. Install a brass shut off valve where you tap into the fuel source, so you can shut of if it ever becomes necessary. I would however run a stainless braided line.

I've been installing mechanical FP gauges without isolators in Dodges for over 10 years with no problems. In fact the only problem I've had is when someone brings me one with an isolator, had a couple isolators leak.
A vendor told me it's the law that they sell FP gauges with an isolator but it's up to you whether or not to install it.
The purple Loctite Hydraulic sealant is great stuff but hard to come by. Permatex #2 from any auto parts works great sealing threads for me.
