Gonna have to start by dumping a couple grand into the tranny. Get a good torque converter and a valve body. After that, you're looking at close to $300 for guages and a pod. Then throw a few more hundred at a 4 inch exhaust system. About $60 for a BHAF. $100 for Governor springs. Get your timing advanced a bit more. Like 16 degrees. Either buy the tools to do it or pay a pump shop. I got mine done for less than the price of the tools.

After that, the power is cheap. You can pretty much double your power for nothing. Fuel plate that you can make yourself, and AFC tuning that will blow your mind. With pump mods that you can do for free, you can get enough fuel to put your turbo at the end of its efficiency.

If you can swing the grand plus for a better turbo, go ahead and get new injectors and delivery valves. At that point, I wouldn't hesitate to line up next to just about any 300ZX. Turbo or not.

Don't forget to tab your KDP before you do anything.

Fuel & air is your best friend when it comes to that

a non turbo z is junk .. a 300lb dude on a huffy can out run them so its not saying much.. Get some gauges and an exhaust 1st, trans 2nd, free mods 3rd, 4th intake horn and cold air intake, 5th 3 or 4 gsk (the 4gsk will need valve springs) then start looking at injectors, turbos, exhaust manifolds and etc. probably by the time you get the free mods and the gsk done ull already be driving around that 300z
