folks without loud exhaust...check this out...
Maybe ya'll have seen this...I found it last night and they have sound bites of what the exhaust will sound like on your truck...duals, single, d-max, p/s or Cummins. Was pretty cool to hear what I have been thinking about. Kinda liked the flowmaster more than mbrp seemed like it had more deep tones. Heres the link.....

Great site for the sounds!!! OH you young guys/young at heart guys with your loud exhaust, I don't care for it on my truck , but I do like to hear them on the road. Yesterday the wife and I were out tooling around on our motorcycle putt putting and a fellow came around us with straight exhaust at about 90 mph and it was loud loud, He nailed it to pass us going 50 behind a set of two other slow going cars, the wife said "does your truck sound like that from the outside" and I laughed and said no, but I sure like hearing them. The MBRP with the 94-02 cummins duals is awesome. I listened to it 5 times. That's exactly what I want my truck to sound like, too bad I have an auto. Next truck will sound like that, oh yes, it will.

I took my truck to the bank drive through. FWIW I have a muffler on my mbrp. Anyways I pull up and shut the truck down. Both girls at the window had to thank me for shutting the truck down- they said it sounded like a helicopter hovering outside

I'm with you Cumminsdriver! I absolutely LOVE my straight 4", although I need to extend it back a bit. I just installed one of those little short caps/cab extensions, for the dog to ride in, and the short straight exhaust kinda echos through it pretty bad. I'm surprised the dog isn't deaf after 6 hours on the highway last weekend. I may even run it all the way back, so I can hear my stereo better, but still get the sound I want.

I have no drone, but havent towed heavy with my 4" straight yet. With the 3" straight, towing 24K+ I had no drone issues. The 4" is not loud at all to me in the truck. Kinda wish I went 5"

LOUD PIPES SAVE LIVES! keep 'er screamin.

I hear you on that one. I have a 3" straight pipe on my truck and wen i pass a dodge or stroker i have to mash it and under bridges. i sure do love the sound ofa straight piped ford or dodge. Especially when they whistle. almost makes me wet i am looking into putting dual 6" 45* mitre stacks on my rig. go straight or go home. i wont ever own a muffler for a diesel powered truck. even my brother got rid of his stock exhaust and went with 4" straight on his truck, didnt void the warranty or anything.
