Flex Plate

Does anyone have any info on a Haisley welded flex plate insert? I saw it on Goerend site. Just wondering how much abuse it will take?

Dave said to me that they are just two stock flex plates welded together. If I was to do one it would be a Billet one thats SFI approved and not worry about it. They can be had for about $450 ish....

A welded flexplate can hold pretty big power. Used to do it back in the day with our old street cars.

However, they are rarely flat after welding. Runout is a dimension I care about now later in life and I could not figure out why I kept losing thrust bearings in the engine even with anti ballooning converters. It was the flexplates.

Billet is a great option and they are flat!

Good point on bearings Fishin. If they are not balanced properly the welded plates will eat bearings in bottom end.

I've run a welded and one piece billet flex plate. Both held up to the abuse. I just think that the billet one piece flex plate is stronger.
