Flex plate????????

I'm getting my transmission rebuilt along with a new tc. How much attention should the flex plate get. Does it need to be upgraded just like the tranny and drive train or can it withstand the far from stock mods that are going on the truck.

Cheap insurance. I blew mine just two weeks ago. When it went it took out the adaptor plate and rear main. If you have the money I would upgrade.

24v 2nd Gens have very few problems with Flex Plates breaking.
Check with your tranny builder. I know DTT says not to bother....I didn't.

Yea just dropped it off and he said that he hasn't had any trouble with the OEM. I think my main is leaking though won't know for sure until he tears into it. Thanks for the info.

I got the BD flexplate in mine
the stocker was wasted after bolts backed out on it
it egged out the holes in the flexplate pretty bad.

they say its 300% stronger than stock.
and its got a warranty, i cant remember how long, but its better than no warranty.
