Flea Market Find

Just got back from a local flea market...found a set of Bosch 275 hp rv injectors for $25.00

Will take them into a shop now and have them tested...the vendor said cummins replaced his injectors to fix a skip his engine had... and the repair tech forgot the injectors laying inside his rv when he left so he kept them....only to find out the skip was caused by a bad pump and not the injectors

Does anyone run these injectors now in their 12V if you do how do y'all like them and will they play well with a #6 plate or should I call TST and ask them about which plate to use ??

.

Re:Flea Market Find

the only way to tell what they are is to get a shop to look the tip number up.

Re:Flea Market Find

Just got back from the diesel shop...they checked these injectors out...they are 215 HP...the tech that pop tested them said they are working like new injectors he did multiple tests on each one...so I think I'll put these in this summer along with new bigger delivery valves and 4GSK kit

Re:Flea Market Find

You are wasting your $$ with delivery valves ... 215's work fine in the 160 pump ....

Re:Flea Market Find

Pappyman,

Rammin On is certainly correct. I just put 370s in mine (180hp pump) and don't have any stumble.
I originally wanted to buy a used set of 215s, then decided on the 300s. But the best sources for them were back ordered with no known delivery date, so I just bit the bullet and got the 370s. I'm glad I did. She's running like a warmed-over big block gasser, and I still have some work to do!

My guess is that the 215s might give you about 25hp, 300s 45-50, 370s 75.

Vin
Re:Flea Market Find

Think for $25.00 and a small fee to pop test these injectors I cant go wrong by using them rather then buying new injectors...along with my current fuel plate which I mite have to change for a #10 and adding a governor spring kit plus bigger delivery valves (I get dealer cost on engine parts) it should give me a few more ponies...I have already up graded my tranny to hold 350 HP...and my exhaust will be fixed to breath better soon....I dont need a hot rod but more HP is nice to have for those mountain roads I have to travel at times ;D

Re:Flea Market Find

Sure,

Since you already have them, it makes sense to give the 215s a try. Might be just what you're looking for. I doubt you would want or need to step back to a #10 plate though. A #8 would be less than your 6 and better suited for your auto trans.

My point on mentioning the 370s is that mine is running great even with the stock delivery valves.

Ride safe,
Vin
