Flat Spot in Power Band
Past month or so I've noticed a flat spot when accellerating. Starts at about 2,500rpm on my mostly stock 12v 5spd. When stomping the pedal in say, 3rd gear, the truck pulls hard, then hits the flat spot, then pulls hard again. I've also noticed a decrease in the thickness of the smoke out the tailpipe. Any ideas? Is it slipping pump timing or something?

I would highly recommend one, because you will see a power increase from 2500 on up.
Slipping timing could possibly be a problem, if it has changed from the way it used to act.
