A few questions on twins
#47
OK time for me to bother you guys again. My truck is a 2000 and the wastegate actuator is on the compressor housing. Is there a way to move the actuator cause I am going to need to index the housing, or do I just need to find another exhaust housing with the older style wastegate actuator? Thanks in advance.

I still don't see why you can't pull more than 30 psi of boost out a HX-40. I would see where your wastegate is set at. I would use an air compressor and see when the waste gate moves. Have you tapped the pump? This helps spool-up. Your turbo should be good for 450rwhp area or 40 ish of boost. My HX-40 spools pretty good considering how big the turbos are and how small the engine is. I would buy the S400 turbo (B2) as it seems to make the best primary turbo. Set your secondary waste gate lower than normal, like 20psi so your drive pressure doesn't kill your head gasket. For what your doing, I would just buy bigger sticks. A set of sticks around the 130rwhp area would be a hot ticket. If your bucks down you can buy a set of stage 3 DD jammer nozzles and build you own injectors using your 275 cores. I pulled 38psi with my HY-35 turbo and ran (and towed) 90rwhp with no problems. Do you have a boost leak some where?

I put on an adjustable boost elbow and the lag is almost gone now. I got a set of Mach2s ordered they just havent came yet. With the comp on 5x5 I can make 36 lbs of boost no problem. I checked and have no boost leaks. I dont really need the twins but who can resist having a set. I am sorry if I didnt specify the exhaust housing I was talking about was for my hx35.

Your HX-40 should give you tons of air for those injectors. I would have gone bigger (like 2.5 to 3's) and ran 3X3 when towing. I want a set of mach 3's for towing, not for a egt issue but so low soot and no smoke. I hate cleaning soot off the side of my trailer.

I was wondering the exact same thing, I plan on running a 14cm housing but need to figure out how to be able to clock it...any ideas for us both would be great!

I actually played around with the wastegate acutator today at work and I think I came up with something that will work I'll post some pics as soon as I can. I also opened the wastegate up to 38mm while I was at it. If you run the 14cm housing doesnt it have the older style wastegate actuator on it?
