Fastest 5 or 6 speed cummins
Is it still jeff prince out of texas? what is he running now?
I wanna know what the chances of running a 13 with my HO 6speed are, i was told i will need 550-600 to get into the low 13/high 12 range with my 6speed
I am curious if anyone around here has a 13 sec or faster manual tranny and how you got there, was it all suspension and launch set-up or was it just an abundance of power

best time I ever saw w/ the 5sp was a 12.10 I believe! 
I believe he's in the 10's now w/ the auto.
the manual trannies just aren't good for drag racing, and the 6sp is worse than the 5sp. *IF* you're gonna try it, you need a dual disk clutch so that you can launch in 3rd.

i wanna be able to run a high 13
i had a lightning with 363 at the rear wheels and ran a 13.3...i would like to be able to get in the high to mid 13's with this truck with the 6speed
one day ill buy me an old 12 valver and do an auto set-up that will be the runner

that lightning has an automatic...
you should be able to eek out a high 13 w/ some power and some good driving but you're really barking up the wrong tree IMHO...
saw a twin turbo'd 3rd gen QC 4x4 SWB auto at the track the other night... built tranny, etc. he was running mid/high 8's in the 1/8, and he dyno'd 610rwhp that night. now, his truck may have been a little off, but those times are mid/high 13's in the 1/4.
if you wanna drag race, get a little 2wd single cab automatic...
don't want to discourage you, but don't beat yourself up (and don't go breaking a bunch of stuff!!!) if you don't get into the mid 13's!
