Do a search and you will find a lot of info.
A FASS is a replacement system for the 2nd gen weak spot, the lift pump. FASS is a combination of a pump and filters that delivers more fuel than an OEM LP and is usually installed to prevent the IP starvation from a weak or dead LP.
Draw straw is a large diameter fuel tank pick up that makes it easier for the LP to suck fuel.
Neither system is likely ti change fuel mileage but is likely to reduce risk of the IP failure if it is to be caused by low inlet fuel pressure.

Kenny, I had to do that to my truck as they had already done the dealer fix, which is to put a pump in the tank. I could have went with an inline Holley Blue and left the pump in the tank alone but if you FASS your truck and it has the dealer fix, that has to be removed. Hence the need for the Draw Straw. And to install that, the tank has to be dropped and an inch and a quarter hole drilled in the top of the tank for the DS to be installed. If you don't have the dealer fix, you probably don't need the DS unless you're running LOTS of HP and need LOTS of fuel. And that's a GOOD THING!!!!

DC is not retrofitting the CTD's that had the filter mounted lift pump, into the fuel tank when they fail. it is better from a reliability stand-point, but not easier for us to upgrade that way.

For you mods i would look into the FASS 95/95-1008 if your not looking to make Big HP just use your stock pick-up. I Wouldn't think you would see any more miles per gal.
