FASS vs. Bully Dog big fuel kit
hey guys, im going to buy my first ever cummins this next week, and before the lift pump dies i want to get either the FASS or bullydog system for it, but im nt sure which one to get. i was hoping you guys could tell me which system would be the most reliable and least prone to having an effect if/when the vp44 dies.

two different animals.
the fass is a filter/pump system. then bully dog big fuel whatever replaces your fuel lines with larger hoses. (i think)
im running my stock lift pump with a holley blue helper pump. 26 psi at idle and never under 15 at WOT
you could also relocate your factory lift pump.
do a search on holley blue and then on walbro. Then go from there![Wink](https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
hope this helps!

well i would go with the holley blue pusher pump. they are cheap and reliable.
i havent priced the relocation kit, they seem to be pretty decent.
i dont really think you need to upgrade the fuel lines, being as how i (along with several others) can push upwards of 25 psi with the stockers
I havent reserched the walbro pump, but from what ive herd, its a pretty good setup.
you could go the fass route, but thats way to expensive IMO.
Its your call, bigblue has ran the same holley blue pump for 2 or 3 years i think. but there has been a few failures, uncommon though.
you might try to see what you can find out about the walbro pump before you buy something different, hopefully someone running one will see this and tell ya about it.
Hope this helps!

I have the bullydog kit on mine and it works very nice I must say and for half of what the FASS system was gonna cost me!!
Now the FASS is a very nice system, but for what I wanted and what i wanted to spend the Bullydog kit was a more appealing option.

Bully Dog, BD or build your own with a Holley Blue. The FASS seems to be whole lot more money with still some reliability issues. If you want to do it for the last time, put a cam in with the 12 valve lift pump, that is what I just did so I don't have to mess with it anymore.
