Longbed or shortbed???

on my shortbed, it was pretty tight quarters installing the FASS. Be patient when removing the factory fuel line from the tank.... the best advice is to actually read the instructions and just take your time.

I didn't have to remove the bed, but my truck doesn't have the wheelwell liners. Only problem with install for me was getting the fuel line OFF the tank. Removed the rear wheel to get up in there. The rest is pretty straight forward. Angle drill for mounting bracket is a plus.

BTW, I am referring to a FASS II install.

It would be easier if the bed was off but it'd take you longer to remove and replace the bed then to fiddle with the fuel lines.

I've had my FASS for over a year and my pressure hasn't been below 13.5 psi.

Unless you're truck is currently starving for fuel, I doubt you see any performance gains. I don't think there is any solid evidence to suggest that FASS will give you hp or torque but you'll be able to feed the beast with nearly any mod all while keeping the almighty VP-44 happy.

I installed my FASS about 2 months ago. The biggest PIA was gettint the old fuel line off the tank! I'm 54 and not as,,,,,,, flexable,, as I use to be! Getting proped up inbetween the frame and side panel was not an enjoyable experience!

I usually average around 14.5 PSI. Sometimes she'll stay at 15. I'm not into getting added horse power but I definitely can feel a difference in how she runs. Much smoother and better pickup when I want to pass someone or accelerate on the interstate.

Outside frame rail.

The only problem I had was not enough fuel line in the kit. You may want to double check before you start your install.

Fuel pressure went from unpredictable with the stock goofy lift pump to a constant 15 - 16 psi even at full load.

I have about 50000miles on my mine Fass system. So far everything good, still have 13 psi at WOT. The install was ok, drilling the frame was a bit of work but nothing serious. I ran 1/2 hydralic line that I made at a hydralic shop. Had several fuel leaks but nothing a little tighting wouldn't solve. I'm also now running a cheap $10 that I bought at NAPA. It has better filtration and my psi at the VP pump increased. I just have tire issues now. It sucks being able to lit the rear tires at almost will.
