Fass Install Question

Fass Install Question
I ended up getting a Fass instead of an AirDog. While reading the instructions it says to install the bracket to the actual fass unit and "Torque to proper specifications" It does not say what those specs are. Does anyone know what it is? I think it is a 1/4" x 1 1/4" grade 8 bolt. That comes up between 12 and 14 ft lbs. Can the what looks to be an aluminum block take that much?

We always use a small amount of blue locktite on the threads in our shop installs. We also use one of of relocation brackets along with the generic FASS bracket.
I get 'em good and tight. I don't use a torque wrench as I use the feel method to be sure I am not stripping those threads.

It will hold 12-14 Ft/lbs.......(will hold 30 come to find out too!) Its T-6061 alum...its some tough stuff. We use 110 in/lbs for the assembly of our 1/4" bolts.....and never have any issue with them. As mentioned, you can put some blue loctite on the bolts as well if you feel the need.
For the 3/8" Bolts....30 Ft/Lbs should be plenty....and the flange nuts should keep them tight as they will bite into the substrate.
You can also look for charts like this:
