so you just splice into the fuel lines and it sucks through the in tank pump?

Yup, no issues with psi, can hold her wide open to 100mph and fuel pressure stays around 8-10, idle is 15. If the intake pump dies I don't know if the FASS will be able to suck through the stock pump though,

I think vulcan or airdog has some kit to replace the intank pump with a hose/plate or something like that, so that you can run an external pump. or you could drawstraw it
personally dont think its a good idea to leave the old one in there, pumps are pushers not suckers, and if you restrict the suck side.... (again just my opinion)

I though you would need a draw straw or helmann sump. I was told you couldn't draw through the intank LP.and you can only draw thru the canister if you are still using a fuel filter mounted pump.

I agree Nick but I am lazy it's been on my to do list for some time now, but you think you would see a pressure drop if the FASS was sucking the intake pump dry unless the FASS can suck straight through the in tank pump.

you can get away with it, but i really don't recomend it. If you cheap like me you can buy a 3/8 chunk of hose thats diesel rated, and use that for your pick up. Just pull the sender out remove the feul pump from it along with the hose that goes from the pump to the top of the sending unit, run your hose from the where the top of the sender hooked up to the feul pump and run it to the bottom of the feul bowl in the sender, probalby cost you less than $10
