As seahawk said, There isnt alot gained from 5" unless your running huge amounts of fuel and air. 5" lowers egt's a little and sounds better, but you actually loose a little hp from lack of back pressure unless you have that mass fuel/air.
I have no complaints about my 4" silverline straight.

No, you dont loose power from a large exhaust? It's personal prefrence according to sound and of course if you need it to support the power. 4 inch will support up to 800rwhp. A turbocharger provides all the back pressure needed!

A couple of years ago, we did some back to back testing at the drag strip, between a 4" exhaust and a 5". The E.T.'s and mph were very similar between the two systems. The big difference was spool up. It was much easier to spool with the 4" system then the 5". My truck was making about 565hp at the time. This was on the 02.
My feeling is if you are over 600hp go with the 5". If your man hood is in question go with the 6"...

lol Nice way of putting it Paul B.
What charger were you using? I see your on a 62/s400 now. I've heard a couple theorys regarding the loss of heat energy with a 5 inch system and loss of spool up

I love my 5" that i bought off ebay from a shop in ok.
As far as the spool up i really dont feel much difference from my stock set up to my 5". The main reason i bought a 5" vs a 4" was trying to keep my egts as low as possible.
