Those exhaust are available from about every vendor out there. The brand is expandit. Everyone offers what i guess you could say would be price war pricing. Their more dificult to install than a mbrp or other major brand but they work well! It will be a standard downpipe flange (hx-35) 3.5 to 4 or 5. IIRC the 5 inch comes in lower. I've installed about 50 of these kits over the past 3 years and one major complaint would be that theres shipping issues and the correct kit sometimes isnt always shipped. Their lacking decent instruction for the DIY guys. I've actully had a downpipe that wasnt expanded. They refused to return it.
Otherwise the issue is touch and go on the exhaust. I have no opinion in the farmboys diesel situation

Will a 285 spare tire fit with the 5" exhaust? I was told it would, but I am hesitant to order. My current 5" will not and I am tired of having my spare in the bed.

I've always had better luck with the cheap exhausts available on ebay. When I got rid of my stacks I got the 5inch straight pipe MBRP exhaust, 600 dollars shipped. Not only was every pipe bent in with dings on the edges making fitting a pain in the ***, but 3 of the clamps that came with it were broke. Just my experience.

The 5" ebay special exhaust ($350) including muffler has worked great and wasn't that difficult if you like wrestling w/a 10ft anaconda. Overall fit was good but I am not an exhaust expert and will have someone install mine in the future if I ever decide to do it again. No, 285 will not fit, I think my spare is 265 and yes, I too was tired of it in the bed. It's one of those jobs you do once, and never again.

I'd like to mention there's plenty of good sponsors that make this website happen that will compete with that price. And with a little searching better deals are to be had off ebay! I know there's 4 or 5 vendors selling those things at basicly cost! With all due respect, I've got a shop to pay for

4" Summit Racing turbo back kit, $299. I've had it four years, with no issues. I don't believe there is any performance gained by a 5", vs. a 4" exhaust, unless you're running obscene amounts of power, with a monster turbo...

It will just takes some adjusting on the alignment on the exhaust and is still very close but been running it like that for 10,000 miles no issues. Like mystery said the expandit line can be purchase from alot of diffrent venders some just label it as there own.

A friend of mine sells the Expandit exhaust, the same thing FBD sells. Him and I have installed a few and ran into to issues with the ends of the pipe being out of round and notwanting to go together without heating and hammering. Some of the kits would come minus a clamp or two. Seems like they lack quality control a little. They do look and sound good once on the truck. I think the kit I went with was made by Diamond Eye, got it from a vendor I saw mentioned on here a few times, went together alot easier than the expandit kits did.
