EZ vs Quad vs VanAaken?

I am looking for a little extra towing power for the new 2001 and am wondering which is the best upgrade. Pros and cons compared to each other.I dont want to go overboard on the power because of possible tranny probs, and I dont want to be too hard on the vp44. Thanks for the responses.

I have only tried the EZ out of those 3 - but I have not had any problems with the unit itself, or a negative effect on the truck (trans or VP44), and I tow 9000# - 9500# all summer in the form of a 34' RV.

I ran a VA box for several years on my 01' & loved it, but you really can't go wrong with any of the 3, some say the bottom end is a bit stronger with the VA over the EZ, but it's not a huge difference, don't have any experience with the Quad boxes, but from reading they seem to be doing a good job as well, I'd say take your pick??? So your looking at the little hp boxes? The advantage of the Quad is price and it should give you power through out the whole rpm band. My dad's 2000 has an EZ and it had a lot of bottom end power but at 1700 it died off, then the EZ takes over there now and it has power throughout the band, but it really didn't help the bottom end, removing the silencer ring seemed to help that more.
Oh by the way post #600 for me.

id go with the ez or the vanaaken. Seems like which ever one you could find for less $$$ would be the deciding factor.

Removing the silencer ring does absoutly nothing to help performance. there is dyno sheets to prove this. It just sounds ALOT better

I know on my truck it makes no difference on power with the silencer ring but on my dad's 2000 You can feel a difference off idle. (It makes no sense to me either, why it would but it's there)
