Experience with Kenny's Machine Clutches?
I searched and only a few people mention Kenny. I didn't find a single bad thing said about them but I'd like to get more feed back. I spoke with him on the phone and he said his 13" 5 Speed Single Disk Upgrade Kit for $650 has held as much as 525 on the dyno. I plan on being in the 450-500hp range so this should work fine for me.

For you SB guys, I would love to go with the con ofe but $1100 is to much for me right now.

Not heard anything really bad about his work. Just that they are a little grabby I_E more then the SBC clutches. Clutch building is nothing hard but building clutches that hold AND are STREETABLE is a whole different story.

Well, cash flow is forcing my hand here so I'll be the guinea pig with his clutch. I don't tow heavy so that's not an issue. I'm not worried about it being grabby, it just takes getting used to.

I'm tickled pink with my LUK Pro Gold, I was in the same situation as you with the lack of $ for a SB, or Centerforce, so I bought what I could afford and am very happy with it, was a little worried about how it would stand up with the bigger injectors, but so far so good & very streetable, I also do alot of pulling with my truck, & with a 236 cat skid steer(about 10,000) on a 24' flatbed trailer the clutch still never offered to slip, I like it & it works well for me, & I picked it up for $373 & some change, that was with pressure plate throw out & pilot bearings & alignment tool, just a thought, Dusty

they do not offer a LUK pro gold series in a 13" upgrade. the pro gold only comes in the 12 1/4" size and is probably good to 350hp/700tq and runs about $350-400
if you step up to the LUK cerametallic performance clutch in the 13" upgrade it has so far been tested by a few guys to well over 400hp. one guy has tested his all the way to 611hp i believe in a first gen and he drags races it. there are two more of us in the 400hp range have yet to make it slip and i know that i can ABUSE a clutch as i drag race, 4-wheel, all that dumb kid stuff
the only draw back is that the price really jumps when you upgrade to 13" with flywheel and all...as i found it listed for $989

Six States Distributers has a SB ConFE knockoff for between 5 and $600. Many folks around here are running them with good luck.

Haisleys 13" upgrade is only $650. It really sounds like I can't lose with this clutch. I'll look into six states clutch too.

which brand is that haisley's clutch...if its the centerforce they list on their website for $648 i'll recommend against it. centerforce are for sports cars...these trucks need a different breed of clutch

I was under the impression it was built by Haisleys. I'll call them back and ask. If it is I'll be disappointed, I'm not a fan of Centerforce. Their website doesn't indicate any brand it only says "5 Speed Single Disk Upgrade Kit $650.00".

haisley dosen't make a clutch under $1500 that i know of. check out www.drivetrain.com they have a clutch called their stage3 clutch, it's a luk pro gold but it has a ferimac disc like a SB fe. i think it's under $700 i have 2 friends running them in their trucks with the same mods i have and the put that thing through some hell and it still holds

These are both rumors. I spoke with Kenny directly and he builds all the clutches he sells. It is not a Centerforce.
He said the only problem is backing with a heavy load because it will grab faster than a stock clutch. But like I said it just takes getting used to.
Bottom line is after a lot of research, I'm sold on his clutch and can't wiat to get it in. I'll let cha all know how I like it.
