We have had 3 trucks all over 750 RWHP, 2 of them over 800, no DTT failures... The first truck was back in 2000 with a DTT tranny that was setup for 450HP that one was taken to 760 RWHP and held! I drove that truck all over the country dynoing and drag racing with no problems. I am not recommending guys take a tranny setup for 450 RWHP and put them behind a motor making over 750 RWHP I am just showing what held. At that point we were in new ground because nobody had been at these power levels.

Right now our shop truck has made over 830 RWHP and when the electronics and juice are turned down/off we tow our horse trailer all over the northeast. DTT builds a great tranny and their customer service is awesome!

I have a friend that had James build his transmission and Otto drives it like he stode it. He did have problems later and I believe the parts were warrenty but not the labor. Any way the transmssion was fixed. Otto has never had an automatic to last like the DTT.
However if I were having a problem like your are I would replace the transmission with a good used, stock transmission or perhaps call Dave Goerend, as I really like his warrenty.
I believe that anyone can have problems from time to time and I never enjoyed any of mine. Good luck on your transmission. Jim

I blew mine up twice. Never was a DTT problem. All I can say is to watch the tranny cooler lines like a hawk. The cheap a$$ dodge plastic clips that hold the lines will come loose and let them rub on the crossmember. I ran for 77k towing the trailer in my gallery daily. When the first accident happened it was fixed under warranty. It wasn't their fault. Thats a top notch company. The tranny still looked new inside except for the clutches that got burnt due to lack of fluid. I bought it once, and wouldn't hesitate to do it again.
