Exhaust troubles

Last year I installed a DPP 4" system. Today I found that the pipe had a large hole where the hanger on the tranny crossmember had been welded on. (Got an acoustic notification of that fact.)
It was too dark to take pics.
Has anybody else had this happen on his exhaust?

Sounds like DPP owes you a new pipe. (pun intended)

Had the exact same thing happen on a Rip's pipe. He sent me a new one

Fairly common if they put to much juice to the electrode when welding it on.

Help!!

AlpineRAM,

Kind of a rare deal from what I have seen, be sure to contact us soon so we can get something doen for you as your muffler is carrying the weight of the tail pipe and it won't liek doing that for long! Sorry for the trouble but we'll get it fixed for you.

Thanks Mark!

It's not the back hangers it's the one that's on the tranny crossmember. Seems to me that the steel got brittle around the weld. I rewelded it today, seems to hold but I don't have any amount of kilometers on it (about 100).
I'll shoot you a PM with my e-mail addy so we can look for something.
