Exhaust Options for '06 CTD
My old roommate wants to buy an exhaust system for his new '06 3500 4x4 quad cab 6 speed. He wants me to find him a stainless 5 inch systems that comes as a straight pipe, with no junk in the middle. I have yet to find one. I think he'd have better luck going to the local muffler dude and having him bend one from scratch. What do ya'll think. Any manufacturer out there offer straight pipes? I'm thinking that would be against the law, no? Any help would be great.
Any reason not to run a straight pipe on a new '06 CDT?

Hey, I'm no expert here, but why not just get the parts you need and go straight pipe with it out before the rear axle (how I have my '94 set up). Awesome sound and great echo off cars, trees, buildings, etc. Only $91 for mine and I've heard guys gettin' it cheaper.
Police? Well, at least here I have had no problems. Just hit it to get through a yellow light and didn't notice that cop waiting at the cross street. I was SURE he was coming to get me, but it didn't happen. My dad is sure I should get a ticket cuz it's so loud!
