Exhaust manifold again
Ok so there are lots of threads talking about HTT or ATS manifolds.
It seems the general oppinion is "take your pick".
What I couldnt find in my search is....
Who hase the best prices? I dont care which one I just want the BEST deal.
Doesnt anyone? I've found them both for about $425 but I want to make sure I cant get it at lesser price.
Thanks

You're in Utah right? Well come over the state line to CO and have ATS put it in. You'll see my truck there too, because they're doing the same for me. It's supposed to be 410 for parts 150 for install=560 installed. Or buy it directly from them for 410!

Thanks, Dan
Which ever you get....with your automatic, I recommend the Install Kit from HTT, if you D-I-Y. Good price, includes new gaskets for manifold & turbo, #3&4 studs, and a bracket you will need to move heater line farther away from the block. I assume the ATS requires this also?
Many say it's ok to reuse manifold gaskets but I wouldn't. Tried it once and got exhaust leaks on two cylinders.
I actually did notice a bit faster spoolup with the HTT Manifold. No expirience with the ATS so can not comment, but most ATS owners report no performance difference from stock.

Buy one from HTT, come over we can drink beer and install it.
Takes about hour and half and it’s done.
The HTT comes completely assembled, tapped, and ready to go.
You will need to buy the hardware. It makes it much easier to install using their bolts instead of the factory ones.

Having just installed the ATS this week......I'd go with HTT. If nothing more than aggrevation, the ATS install is incomplete from the factory:
1. All the OEM bolts to the head can be reused except for cylinders 4 and 3, these either need special bolts or studs. Not included or mentioned.
2. The mounting pad for the turbo has no studs installed and requires 10mm bolts. I can't use bolts on my HTB2 (rear left mounting point) and had to fabricate studs.
3. Had to cut the OEM bracket for the heater core line due to clearance and fabricate my own. Again, not included or mentioned.
I would have been fine with the modifications if I had known this is what I was getting into when I purchased the product. HTT was upfront with me from the get-go (**** I like Paul) about what was needed and included in their kit. Trouble was, I had already purchased a coated ATS.
Lessons learned passed on.
