I just installed the exhaust this weekend. Not a lot of problems. Next time I should lineup the old with the new system to get an idea of where the pipes sould be cut. Their instruction didn't mention you had to cut the pipe that goes over the rear end too. I had to cut it an inch shorted than the older system to avoid hitting my spare tire (which the people who installed my hitch didn't put back right ). Using WD40 made the rubber mounts come off without any trouble. Be sure to put the rubber mounts on the muffer hangers before you mount them on the truck.

What about making your own exhaust? Before my first Deisel truck, I had a 99 Dakota Club cab 5.2L (that got traded in on my 01 2500CTD) On the Dak I ran a 3' from the cat back (didnt keep truck long enough to finish from the cat forward) #' into a Dynomax Ultraflow 3" in and dual 2 1/2 outlets. Got all the piping from summit. Cut and welded up the mandrel bent pipes up and over the rear axle and out in the stock location. Made up a few of my own words, but got dual 2 1/2" pipes side by side, cleared everything and modified and welded the stock hangers on to use all the original hangers on the truck. So Is it worthwhile to make up my own exhaust? Only found 4" straight pipe so far.

Chuck,

Where did you get the silverline sysytem put on? I called the ANSA plant and they gave me the name of a local Meineke shop. When I called the guy was clueless. I like the look of the system but ANSA wouldnt give me pricing or ordering info. They say they only sell to shops, not consumers. Any info??

WET 1 stainless types

Wet 1,

The system you got quoted on from RPM Outlet was a Magnaflow T-409 system, they do not have any 304 systems available on their site, also called and grilled them about 304 vs 409, 409 only. Our T-409 system is right at the low 400.00's and we include a T-304 muffler and 100% welded T-304 hangers. Plus our Sprial Flow muffler with 4 inches of ceramic blanket and stainless steel wool packing material. We also have a one piece tail pipe for correct and easy installation. We do have the T-304 system you mentioned at the price you mentioned, and it also comes standard with a T-304 tip.

Mark @ DPPI

P.S. We also have duals in aluminized, T-409 and T-304 stainless.

Mark,

You guys offering any discounts for military just back from the sandbox. I am looking to get a stainless sytem soon. I really like the dual look but might be out of my range. I looked at your site but wanted to see if there was anything I missed.
