Yes! I've had this happen. It the vacuum control valve failing or sticking.

I'll tell you this much. When it does hang up and you try to go with more throttle... Give it up it will suck you down to 15 MPH... PERIOD! I ended up creeping along the highway to get to a spot to pull over to disconnect the vacuum supply hose and plug it.

I'm not sure if it would hurt anything but... You could spray some WD40 in the control valve and see if it helps...

This was all before I had gauges... I would amagine the Pyro took off like a rocket!

Sure if you can post some pics, that would be great.
Chepest I can find the PacBrake switch is $46.35 for a switch !!! Yeah it's cheaper than the Cummins one but still.
I don't really care for that Geno's shift **** with the switch button on the top....looks too easy to hit by accident.

I have a banks brake and an automatic tranny. I am not overly impressed. It works great with the overdrive disengaged but with it on it doesnt work all that great. This is fine when I am towing (OD off) but not real helpful anyother time. Dont get me wrong it does help abit but not as much as I would like. Maybe I need the Bigger valve springs? I have a buddy that has the maually operated PAC brake and that thing will dang near out your through the windshield. All in all if I had it to do over again I would by the PAC.

I checked with Rocky Mountain Cummings for a Jacobs Engine Brake....They are mighty proud of theirs!!! wanted $866.13 for it and "only $760 plus for installing.
Anybody got a cheaper deal, or maybe a different brake?

I have not personally compared the two, but I do know that regardless of the manufacturer, you will have more retarding horsepower at higher RPM's. That is why your's is working better in third than in fourth.

My Pacbrake stopped working

When I turn the Pacbrake on I can hear the compressor running but the Pacbrake isn't engaging and I don't hear that air pressure release sound that I had. Does this brake need to be lubed or what's the problem here? Anybody?

I got mine from Mechanicsville Dodge (1-800-559-6698) for (I think) the same price. Then your best bet is to install it yourself....or I'll install it for $500 for ya

George&Cheryl, you might possibly spray some dry teflon film or something similar on the actuator arm, or call PacBrake and tell them about the brake problem and see what they say. Also, make sure the vac line going to the brake is not leaking or dis-connected.
