erasing hypertech
Heres the deal, a friend of mine bought a truck (99 24 valve) and got hypertech with it. He has the level 3 loaded on there now and lost the handheld programmer. Now hes thinking about getting edge. Can the edge be stacked with hypertech? Is there a way to clear the hypertech and get back to the stock settings? any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

Cool dealers do it for free, bad ones will charge 1hr of shop labor time even though it is a 15 min job. Anywhere from 60-100 bucks i'd imagine. Don't stack those two, you will have too much timing and cause big problems in the future if you run with double timing.

thanks big blue for the info, stacking them (if possible) was just going to be a easy fix of the issue. not to familiar with hypertech so didnt know if stacking was doable. looks like its off to the dealership unless anyone knows someone in the bucks county area with a smarty willing to help, was told that might do it as well.
