Re:Emjay Strategy Controller

Pitbull, I may be mistaken, that was just my take on it. I am glad you like the site but please don't let my upset outburst be a factor in hanging around.

Jack is absolutely right in saying that it should be all about the issues at hand. This is the same reason I got upset and posted somewhat leading away from the issues itself.

I really don't want it to get into a he said she said battle, just the opposite I am fed up with that very thing. I added to it myself, and in hind sight would have best not done it. But everything I said is the truth as I know it. I am not above being wrong and will take the critisizm if I am.

I hope it all gets back to the basics and sheds the BS. The challenge was the emjay would cause a shift bindup problem and I see where Bill said "I will take this controller and prove it". If he does that I will print it here for all to see.

Good luck to both contestants and I hope it can be a fair and impartial test so we can all move on to more pressing issues in our lives.

Bill can go back to building his Transmissions, Emjay can go back to building their controllers and other innovations, and I can go back to trying to persuade vendors to let me show their work here for everyone to learn and benefit from.

I agree with Pit Bull, this is a great site. Stick to your guns gentlemen. Don't let anyone on any side of an issue cloud your judgement. I really get the feeling that everyone running this site is trying to be fair and impartial. Thank you

Re:Emjay Strategy Controller

wow......the whole thing is a cat fight.....lol

well ladies and gentlmen I am gonna stick my two cents worth in as well.....I am not an ATS or a DTT customer however I did order an emjay controller the day before the special ended.

I have seen a whole lot of history being rewritten in this saga but I have followed it closely.....

Regardless of the original issues of why DTT was not sent the one they were told was coming.....Here is my take of what has occurred since.

1. DTT stated that manipulating the govenor -can- cause a bind-up shift. I didnt read that as -would- but rather only that it could if not done properly. I also didnt read that as saying the emjay unit would do it but instead that without testing it they didnt want to warrenty transmisisons where it was used.

2, Things rocked along with much confusion until DTT stated the challenge. The challenge as I read it said nothing about the emjay but was rather directed at showing that manipulating the governor can cause a bind-up.

3. DTT stated that they would donate their winnings (if any) to charity minus expenses. Seemed to upset some folks but I personally thought the charity thing was great.

4. The bind up challenge was accepted by ATS (indirectly by saying they would put up the $$).

5. After some fuming and fussing from the sidelines DTT said they would donate the whole $$ to charity.....

6. More fuming and fussing from the sidelines about testing the emjay instead of using the Transex equipment as was originally discussed by both parties.

7. The guy that accepted the challenge formally accepted but from what I read is attemtping to modify the challenge by injecting the emjay as part of the challenge.....

8. Who knows......but I bet its going to be entertaining LOL

BTW I use Suncoast tranny parts and am **** happy with them.......

I stated that I would use the Transex 2000, and after that could not produce the bind up shift, we would move the the Emjay Strategy to show that it can't be done with it either.

[quote author=shaft01 link=board=7;threadid=8406;start=120#87926 date=1041626168]
8. It's an education, in more ways than one, so please learn from it.

Thanks for reading,
Joel Richards

Re:Emjay Strategy Controller

I stand corrected Joel......I did indeed go back and re-read your post and you are correct (but then you knew that, you wrote it lol)

As for this not being a laughing matter that all depends on your perspective......from yours I bet it isnt.......from mine on the other hand, the amount of constipation (sic) being portrayed on this and various and sundry other threads over this is indeed quite funny......AND educational......
