Question EGTS hit 1500*F

well i just posted about my truck but i wanted to sperate these posts so the other one wouldn't be so long, i was wondering if changing my exhaust housing to my 18cm would help with the egts on the top end, my current setup is an upgrade compessor housing (60mm) and my old n/w 12cm housing, so what if i just swapped exhaust housings and used the 18, would it do me any good?. thanks

It will be laggy but it cool it off. You may lose boost but 35psi makes about the same power or more as 45psi on that charger.

A lot of low rpm/boost lag and increased EGTs. Once you get the boost up it will cool the EGTs.

1500° isn't bad as long as you don't hold it very long. My gauge reads to 1800° and the needle has been there....

thanks. maybe i'll throw the 18 on since i already have it and see how it runs, and ya i hear ya about not holding 1500 long, longest i've held it is probably 3 seconds so im okay, but my gauge only reads to 1500 so i may have gone over, probably going to have to get a new gauge. thanks again guys

I have pegged my pyro a crapload of times, I think it is O.K. as long as it isn't held for a super long time. I see you are wanting 435's, my buddy has a set and he really likes them... Right now there is a set in the classifieds for a good price fyi.

thanks, but im saving to buy all the twins stuff right know so i'll have to wait on the injectors, but it is good to know that your buddy is happy with the injectors, hearing stuff like that is good for decision making on what to buy and not.

What are your plans as far as which twin setup you are going to do? I may have some supplies you could use for cheap. I decided I wanted to go with a street-stock class legal single setup instead . I was going to buy a set of 435's myself until I found a good deal on some injectors that are actually a tad bit bigger lol.

well my setup would be fairly common. im going to buy an s400 from htt, use my hx35 with the 60mm compressor housing and the 12cm wategated housing, until i got a 14cm non wategatd housing and then run an external wategate, 5inch exhaust and 4inch cold side plumbing. so what ya got that i could use? thanks
