egts?

I had my thermocouple installed after the turbo on the top of the downpipe last week and i was wondering how much temp im losing to know exactly what my egt is?

It will be anywhere between 0 and 500 degrees colder from what i have read. Tey will run around the same idling between pre, and post, but running hard, the pre reading could be 500* more than what you will see. I would re install it in the manifold, but if i was running it hard, i would add at least 500* to the reading.

I would move your probe to the manifold. There was a thread here about a guy that had both PRE & POST probes the differences were very wild... From 0-500*F is a good range but I still wouldn't trust it. The POST probe rises very slowly compared to PRE...

You can put a pipe plug in the old hole and drill a new one in the mainfold...

Yeah exactly what he said, take a pipe plug and put it where your thermocouple is now...and move the thermocouple to the manifold...you're a lot safer there, cause there's no guess work...
