EGT question

UPDATED: EGT question
Here's my situation. I have truck in sig. Plan on adding 4" exhaust and RV275 injectors. With my truck being an auto (with the smaller HY35 Turbo), will the addition of the superchip (no boost fooler) and the RV275 injectors give me EGT issues? I could add a BHAF, I have a drop in K+N right now. (ya I know...K+N )
I use my truck to pull ~8500# worth of RV into the mountains. Pulls OK stock, haven't tried pulling since addition of superchip (season over - it gets cold here! ). I will be adding EGT, FP warning LED, and trans temp gauges when the other work is done. I am also considering a VB kit for the 47RE.
I'm more of an RV tower than a weekend racer.
With all that said, will I have EGT issues when pulling? With the 275s? Without?

You'll run cooler, have more power, and be dollars ahead by going to a used Comp, a hybrid hx35 turbo, and using the stock air box, with rubber boot removed, and exhaust, over what you're thinking of doing. The money you save on the exhaust and intake will pay for your guages, which should be the first modification you make. Ther's more cooling and power to be had in a turbo upgrade than any intake/exhaust combination, and the Comp far out powers 275s and "superchip" on you particular truck.
Just my $.02 worth.

I had similiar setup like you at 19,000 lbs GCVW with VanAaken, 4" exhaust and wastegated turbo to 28-29psi,BHAF, and valve body for almost 5years. Very good towing combo and egt's quite safe. Since upgraded to other power enhancements .
Depends on how much power you want for towing and everyday use, you can have best of both worlds racing and towing compromise(like me) . I am more than satisfied with my setup now,(my egt's are safe with HY-35 disabled, 35psi boost, and 1200-1250 egt's).
Your trans will need minimum of a VB, and/or torque converter and/or rebuild. Youll need some sort of boost fooler also. Most people seem pleased by the RV275 injectors and comp with adjustability, but there is other just as good if not better combo's out there also.
Do some searching on old posts to help you decide what you want, and get it right the first time. Hope this helps.

If you keep your stock exhaust but replace the muffler with a straight thru design, you will drop about 100 deg. in EGT. The setup in my sig has no EGT issues towing my 7K trailer over the rockies. (Creston - Salmo pass )

Without having a boost fooler you will have some issues with EGT temps because of the lack of air to help keep it cool!! Especially with injectors, you will need more boost than the 20PSI your wastegate is set at!
