EGT guage sending unit placement.
The '95 in my sig. has the sending unit in the downpipe elbow just after the turbo.
Two questions:
1) What temp range should I expect and watch out for with this placement?
2) Is there any reason why i should relocate the sending unit to the manifold?
Thanks for any insight you may have.

Guys that have run both pre and post turbo at the same time have said that under very little load, like idle, the temps are pretty well the same. On a WOT run, the post turbo is slower to react and can be as much as 500 degrees below the manifold mounted pyro. If you're adding numbers to your temp so you can figure out the manifold temps, why not just put it there to begin with?
