Quick question on the 300 injectors, do they have this wide spray angle? Are they an actual injector, or a renamed 215?
Would they be a good injector to run for 250+ hp in valet mode even if I had to change DV's, or would I have to go to 370's.
Thanks Guys,
Chris
BTW, I would like to end up with approx the same power I have now, only in VALET. Then flip the switch, and play . Is it possible without going to 370's? (If you can't tell, I very leery of them.

For those of you considering the 370's Don M is giving you
very good advice on the spray angle.
I ran these injectors for almost three years in my 1996 Dodge
CTD. Recently, Scheid Diesel completely rebuilt my 12 valve
engine in that truck. As many of you know, my #5 and #6
pistons were cracked on the edge of the "keyhole" with #
5 being the worst. On ALL OF THE PISTONS you could see
the "spray marks" right around the the top edge of the
"keyhole" from the nozzles on the 370's! IMO, this does
cause excessive heat and could have contibuted to the
cracks, but,......I was also running advanced timing so that
didn't help either. I also had the thinner washers on the
injectors to try and help that but the marks were still there.
I am not trying to scare anyone, just to let you all know what
my experience was with the 370's. As the other members
pointed out, the 370's are cheap horespower and if I had
to "do it over again" I would still have run them as they
performed very well for me!
I will bring my #5 stock Cummins Piston from that engine
to the Scheid Rally with me. If any of you guys want to
see it, look me up and I will be glad to show it to you.

Could you post a pic also? I won't be there.
My 370s came from the same seller on Ebay that is linked to above. From other posts I've read, my tips have the same P/N as the ones that Piers sells.
I really like these things. Great power, and my mileage actually went UP. Not much, but a little. About .5-1mpg. Finally broke the 16.5mpg line. 17.5 is the new high so far. This was even running 70-75 mph w/4.10s.

It is good to hear from you! Look for me at the rally and
I will show you the pistons and we will go for another
ride.

Right before the rebuild my timing was at 18.

I will try to get a picture on the site here shortly.

Twins do sound like fun.
18!!
Looking forward to the picture.
Are all Bosch 370s created equally or are there different designs, ie different number of holes in the nozzles of different part numbers?

I'm wondering about the 300s and their angle as well. I just pull a set of 300s out to put in the 370s. The 370s seems to roll easier, smoke less. To new to get mileage info yet, but expect it to be better. I can't tell if there is any hp difference?
Sounds like these 370s are better for towing, using boost than for empty around town?
