Or going by the overhead...

Well he is averaging 28-34mpg, I've driven it same weight also, and got same results. I'll have to contact him to see if he did anything else to it.

WAIT!!!! Ok here it is, I found what it was. It's NOT 32mpg.....it was 22mpg. loaded, and 26-28mpg not loaded. Sorry about that. It was a 6 spee also, so I imagine his axle ratio and standard played a part in that.

Still like to See that worked out manually on paper not the overhead. I drove my brother-in-laws 05 that I put an EZ, AFE intake, MBRP 4", with a 6 speed. The over head showed 24.3, I did it manually and it got 18.4 and that was on the same tank of fuel. The overhead is good for bragging but thats about it.

Yeah, I'll look at doing that. I've done it on my truck an it's opposite, it's better on paper than the overhead shows, not much about 2mpg diff.

The only way i've found to get 32MPG is to start the fuel consumption test at the top of a mountain and coast down the hill at nearly an idle and then, fill up at the bottom and check mileage. Otherwise, 24MPG, like in my sig is as good as it gets. That was hand calculated with no stops, just straight through 740 ish miles at 65 MPH and drove with fuel light on for last 15 miles. It took just under 31 gallons to fill up.

I actually made the trip in less time than normal because I had no stops compared to a normal two fuel stops if I drive 75-80, and a few pee stops too. Speed is the killer of mileage! = Wind resistence, then weight is the next killer, which can be helped out by over inflating tires to reduce rolling resistence.

There is no chip, stacked chip package, injector or turbo that will give anyone over 26 MPG in my opinion.

This is an Edge and use to be a Blue Chip stacked. Not'ny more.....
I can't afford to play the VP44 game no more. The Blue Chip is laying on the floor awaiting transportation to the land fill.

If you can find out what his setup is, EXACTLY, I'd like to know. I've heard and seen as high as 24 mpg, but never above 25 as an average by anyone. If you can, find out what chips, what mods, what gears, any additional info that might give us SOME idea of what he's doing, besides relying on the overhead to get those kinds of numbers.
